Great Food!

Being a frequent traveler, I go to lots of restaurants in small and large towns. Chow! Bella was remarkable in its very fresh and delicious food. The service was a little less attentive than I'd expect for the price of the food, but was adequate for a party of one.

The prices are high for a small town, but appropriate to the level of cuisine presented. The wine list was acceptable, and the chef presented a free appetizer on both occasions that I dined there. The dessert selection was fabulous, although the tiramisu that I selected was a little bit dry with a "refrigerator" taste suggesting it had been in there for a while. On another occasion I had a key lime mousse which was heavenly.

Overall, I'd give Chow! Bella an A-/B+ given its location in a very small town, and would eat there again.

VT writer you are submitting poor reviews
How many aliases do you have and what is your grief against Chow!Bella. What you have critiqued against the restaurant doesn't even add up. One cannot possibly be at the door and stare at your dinner(hostess or otherwise) geographically or metaphysically. I believe you might be paranoid or working for another restaurant. So please subsist. Your impressions don't in any way compare to the great value we give in dining at Chow!Bella or of the stake the entire staff has in representing the sincere desires of the establishment. Find another horse to ride...you are condemming 23 employees by your uninformed review. Think about it

Others Rave-I'm Not Sure Why
Perhaps it was just a busy night and I caught them at the wrong time, but I've heard rave reviews over Chow Bella and can't say I was horribly impressed. The menu's good, comparable to Three Tomatoes, prices are a little steeper than I was expecting. Dinner for two (including a beer each and one appetizer) came to $70. The food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the greatest I've ever had. That's where it gets hard to understand what the rave reviews are all about. Maybe those who have told me it is the greatest restaurant in the world order pizza, the one thing I didn't try. We did not make reservations on a Friday night (we arrived at 5 p.m.), and that might explain why we were greeted with a lack of enthusiasm. The host seemed baffled as to where to seat us, and we really didn't understand why as at the time there were only three tables seated. They finally put us right near the front door where people come and go constantly and stood chatting and looking at your meals as you ate. This may not bother some, but it does me. In the end, I didn't get why others rave and I can't honestly say I'd return for that reason.
