In regards to your slanderous views of the classy eating establishment foundly known as The Yellow Caboose (Shanghai Gardens). Not only does this establishment serve the best Chinese within three counties, it also has well organized staff that completes your order in a timely fashion. All of this brought to you with a caring, small-town family oriented atmosphere. When it comes to Chinese in Vermont, Shanghai Gardens is the only place I will eat.

Wrong take-out order. Filthy, bleak and drab
"Tracy" was our hostess/cashier. After giving our take out order I asked her to repeat it, just to make sure. Well when we got home, it was someone else's order. I called back the Shanghai Garden and I explained to Tracy what had happened. She asked us to drive back and they would, "Make it right." I politely told Chinese Tracy, that it was too far and too cold, but, could they comp us our next take out? She replied with "Oh no! Owner would not like that." I don't think you will either. Btw, the place is an old, and I mean OLD converted railway car. It was freezing inside and saw only one customer. The place is filthy. The red rug is now a faded brownish color and thread bare. There is NO decor in the restaurant. Only faded, dingy, plaster-board walls. It was depressing. We waited in the car. We did try to eat what looked like their "Crab Rangoon" Promise to tell you it had NO crab and was undercooked with a doughy consistency. Stay clear of this place.
