Four of us squinting at the menus! You enter Lago Trattoria through a small door from the street (I have been here many times before, when it was a regular family type restaurant, a chinese restaurant etc..) This place has had many reincarnations! Its been stripped down to brick and mortar and lovely, old glowing wood. The first thing that catches your eye as you are seated is that you can see the Chef working and creating from every room. I ordered freshly made pasta, it was lovely and delicate and perfumed with the scent of mushrooms. My dining companions had lamb, fish and steak, all wonderful. Cooked perfectly and well. No one spoke for a very long time as we ate.
