Best in town

I am a big fan of sushi and tend to gravitate toward Japanese food when I travel I ALWAYS research before I go.

I have been going to Koto for years. I highly recommend the hibatchi table when you want a show (fun for kids, fun for groups when you really don't want/need a lot of conversation...More expensive but unique). I can be found at the sushi bar when I'm alone. The food is fresh, fast and delicious. Feel free to doctor up any roll or sushi, add something, create something. The fish is REALLY fresh and tastes great.

Koto also makes/sells their own creamy ginger salad dressing (~$8/quart) which is WAY over-priced for such a simple mixture but I will admit I miss it when I go to other Japanese restaurants.

Prices are high...and worth it. Free house green tea with your meal if you ask for it. Go for lunch if you want to try it and save a few bucks. Good service but dont go for dinner when you're in a mad rush. Nice atmosphere (simple, comfortable). Friendly staff.

Highly recommend!

Although expensive, the food was excellent. Make reservations to sit at the hibachi or grab a regular table. (Hibachi tables are more expensive and the food is about $7 more from the hibachi. You can also order food from the kitchen, which is cheaper.) Even the reluctant children enjoyed the "chicken nuggets". We will dine there again!
