The setting is wonderful. The menu looks great. From there on, it's down hill.
Starting from the end, with the bill, don't be surprised when you see a 19% "tip" . It's clearly noted on the menu and you get to pay it regardless of what you think of your meal or the service.
Next, the service. A simple round of 3 Shirley Temples and 2 Kir Royals took 20 minutes. Ordering took an additional 10 minutes. This in a half full restaurant.
Food came - eventually, but there was a significant lag between our finishing of salads and arrival of the mains. A couple seated next to us towards the end of our meal had to wait 20 minutes to order drinks, then had to practically beg to place a food order. We didn't stay around to see how long it took for them to get somethingt to eat.
Finally, the food. We ordered 2 Wienerschnitzels and Cheese Fondue for 3. The Wienerschnitzel - supposedly a house speciality - was okay, but the spaetzli was burned. The Fondue tasted as if it had been doused in Kirsch. It was awful. When we pointed this out, the kitchen doctored it for us - added cheese and "no more wine". Didn't really help. So, while this restaurant offers Cheese Fondue, I advise AGAINST ordering it.
Desserts were pretty good - fresh blackberries were a nice touch - but not enough to cause us to return.
