I have been to Pulcinella's numerous times, and I have always been incredibly pleased with my experience. I, like one of the other reviewers, have been to many very nice restaurants throughout the US and in Europe, and have found paper over the tablecloths so that is certainly not a reason to discount the excellence of the food.
The appetizers are amazing, and I usually find myself ordering multiple appetizers because I can't decide. The beef carpaccio is phenomenal - light and delectable - while the calamari is some of the best I have ever had. The current way they are preparing the snail appetizer is amazing; the tomato cheese sauce is absoltuely delicious.
As for entrees, I have had their pastas, pizzas, chicken, veal, tuna, salmon, shellfish, vegetarian options, and just about every other possible dish, and I have always been amazed at how these foods I have eaten so many times before can contain such wonderful flavors and be prepared in such wonderful ways.
The vodka martinis (extra dry, extra dirty) are the best I've had in Burlington, and I am a picky martini drinker.
Perhaps my only complaint is that I live just over a half hour away; I would much prefer that I lived right around the corner!
